Understanding the CompassPlus Agent Profile

💼 What is the User Profile Card


Your profile card is a personalized snapshot that includes:

  • Your name, title, and credentials
  • Headshot photo
  • Greater service area (e.g., “Greater Los Angeles Area”)
  • Contact details
  • A call-to-action button (e.g., “Work With Wendy Moore”)

🗺 Important: The location shown on your card is a general, high-level descriptor of the region you serve. It is not connected to the map pins and is not a searchable term.

For example:
If your card says “Greater Los Angeles Area”, that does not mean you’ll appear in map searches for MalibuLong Beach, or Santa Monica unless those cities are explicitly added as map locations.


🗺 What does the Map View show?


When a user clicks the "Our Agents" tab, they’re taken to an interactive map of the U.S. with black location dots. These dots represent specific cities or metro areas that agents have chosen to appear in.

  • Every agent may choose up to two free locations to appear on the map.
  • These are searchable cities — for example, Los Angeles and Santa Monica.


📍 Example: How Location Visibility Works

Let’s say you service Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Long Beach, and Malibu.

  • You can choose Los Angeles and Santa Monica as your two free locations
  • If you want to be listed in Long Beach and Malibu as well, those require additional paid map listings
  • Your card might say “Greater Los Angeles Area”, but only the specific cities you choose will be searchable or pinned on the map


🔁 Why the Difference Between Card and Map?

This separation ensures that:

  • The card remains clean and visually appealing with one simplified location label
  • The map provides precise search functionality and accurate city-based filtering for site visitors

It’s designed to give you flexibility: promote your broad service area visually while maintaining targeted search visibility where it matters most.
